Job Description
Working closely with the Finance and Management teams, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and in partnership with the State Manager. The primary tasks and responsibilities include.
Monitoring and enhancing relevant financial and business KPI’s
Provide accurate unit costs of production and analysis of business unit performance
Monitor and maintain accurate stock systems and ratios
Assist in the development and ongoing review of product pricing matrices
Forecasting of results based on past performance and market trends.
Ongoing review of business costs in regard to trading activities and levels
Prepare reporting on sales and production compared against weekly budgets for product sales and production
Review and report any significant issues affecting anticipated overall Branch performance, production and sales monthly against Finance budgets
Assist with preparation of end of year financial reports
Assist with annual external audit
Desired Skills and Experience
Profile
The ideal applicant will have the ability to work autonomously whilst managing a small team and possesses sound time management skills.
Experience in an accounting role in manufacturing or like-minded organisation would be highly regarded
Experience with multi-site operations would be an advantage
Minimum of 5 years accounting experience with exposure to preparing a financial and management accounts.
Advanced Excel skills
Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised
High work ethic, practical, action orientated person
Ability to interact with all levels of staff, management, internal and external customers
Ability to and experience in supervising staff.
High level of professionalism and leadership.
High level attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to multitask and work to deadlines.
Knowledge & Experience with Accounting Business Software, and ability to understand system processes.
