Job Description
About the Role:
As a Senior People & Culture Advisor reporting to the National P&C Manager (based in Victoria), you'll be pivotal in supporting our team in New South Wales as a stand alone business partner. This Full-time role is based in our site in New South Wales (Moorebank, Sydney), supporting operations and our site leadership teams across multiple manufacturing sites. You'll oversee employee and industrial relations across the sites, focusing on fostering a positive workplace culture, leadership development, and driving success.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals. Provide expert guidance to senior management and analyze HR metrics for strategic insights.
Employee Support: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, mediate workplace conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
Performance Management: Develop and manage performance appraisal systems. Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Industrial Relations: Provide guidance on legal matters, act as a mediator between employees and management, lead and negotiate the New South Wales Enterprise Agreements, Award interpretation and build relationships with union and site representatives.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee recruitment activities, manage onboarding programs, and coordinate new hire processes across the whole of employment lifecycle.
Learning & Development: Coordinate training programs, support employee development initiatives, and administer training courses.
Employee Engagement: Drive engagement initiatives, analyze training needs, and coordinate development activities.
Policy & Procedure Administration: Develop and implement HR policies, maintain documentation, and ensure policy compliance.
Record Management & Compliance: Update and maintain employee records, manage employment-related letters, and monitor compliance with certifications and licenses.
Additional Information:
This role offers flexibility with work location, based primarily at our Moorebank branch with responsibilities across the New South Wales and Queanbeyan operations. You will have the autonomy to choose a site that best fits your work-life balance with regular travel to sites to business partner with your site leadership teams expected. You are a part of a National team of People and Culture professionals who work as a close-knit team and the wider Payroll team to ensure best practice business partnering, deliver the Civilmart strategic plan and site support across the Civilmart Group.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years in HR Advisory, HR Business Partner or a similar role in a likeminded industry with Manufacturing (blue collar workforce) as the preference. Working knowledge of IR, Award and EBA's is preference but not mandatory as there is team support with 60 plus years of HR/payroll experience within the National team
Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and HR/payroll information systems, excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
