About the Role
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-focused Construction Estimator to join our Victorian Precast team, based in Corio. You will play a critical role in the preparation of accurate project costings for a range of custom and standard precast concrete solutions.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Production, and Engineering teams to assess drawings, estimate costs, and support the quoting and tender process for key civil and major projects across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, tender documents, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to clarify scope and ensure estimates align with production capabilities.
- Prepare tender submissions, material take-offs, and detailed cost breakdowns.
- Maintain and update pricing databases, supplier rates, and material costs.
- Collaborate with procurement and production to support quoting accuracy and delivery schedules.
- Present estimates and tender documentation to management for review and submission.
Skills and Experience Required
- A Diploma or higher qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in construction estimating, ideally in steel fabrication or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex construction and engineering drawings.
- Sound knowledge of Australian construction standards and contract frameworks.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Buildsoft, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites across Victoria.

- Must hold valid working rights in Australia.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination, including Drug and Alcohol screening.
