The Opportunity:

We’re on the lookout for a proactive Assistant Accountant ready to take the next step in their career and join our Finance Team in Geelong. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll support month-end reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, compliance and day-to-day accounting tasks. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys working across different areas of finance, meeting deadlines and being part of a collaborative team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing monthly journals, accruals and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Maintaining the asset register, posting depreciation and managing insurance listings
• Assisting with monthly management reports, budgets and forecasts
• Performing variance analysis to support financial and operational decisions
• Supporting BAS, tax compliance, year-end reports and liaising with auditors
• Monitoring loans, intercompany accounts and financial covenants
• Reconciling cash accounts and ensuring accurate financial data entry
• Assisting with AP & AR, supplier payments and general finance admin
• Contributing to process improvements, system enhancements and internal controls
• Promoting a safe, compliant and efficient workplace environment

What we’re looking for:

• A recently qualified, or near qualified Accountant (CPA/CA), or studying toward qualification
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar accounting support role
• Strong attention to detail, Excel skills, and knowledge of ERP/accounting systems
• A proactive, curious mindset with excellent communication skills
