Job Description
Position Overview
Based at our Burnside Road, Stapylton site, Civilmart is seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Boilermaker to join our precast manufacturing team. In this role, you will cut, shape, assemble and weld steel to construct, maintain and repair metal products and precast moulds. You will also interpret drawings, create full‑size patterns or templates, and ensure all fabricated components meet quality and specification requirements.
This is a casual position, working Monday to Friday across our standard operational hours.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain precast moulds and repair metal products and structures
Read and interpret precast design drawings
Set up and operate machine tools
Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely
Use a variety of tools and machines to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
Shape, bend and accurately weld metal sections (including MIG welding)
Fit and assemble fabricated metal parts
Carry out general fabrication, welding and assembly tasks
Supervise and support a Boilermaker Apprentice
Work safely and follow all site WHS procedures
Desired Skills and Experience
The Successful Applicant Will Have
Previous experience as a Boilermaker or Welder (MIG welding experience essential)
Trade qualification (required)
Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
Understanding of heat‑treatment processes
Basic fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
Ability to read and use measuring equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge
Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
A positive attitude towards safety, teamwork, training, and continual improvement
