About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Infrastructure Products Australia VIC team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing estimating and quoting activities in collaboration with Sales Representatives and the Sales Coordinator.

You will play a key role in producing accurate sales quotations, interpreting construction drawings and ensuring all estimates align with customer requirements, pricing guides and workflow processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Produce accurate sales quotes for the commercial team
  • Review major quotes with Sales Representatives
  • Interpret construction plans and technical drawings
  • Ensure workflow processes are followed, and pricing aligns with current price guides
  • Incorporate standard options, variations, delivery methods and site-specific requirements into quotations
  • Verify pricing accuracy and ensure no unexplained variances between estimate totals and proposed quotations
  • Assist Sales with end-to-end order implementation
  • Generate reports and maintain estimating spreadsheets
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Sales, Production, Despatch and customers to meet timelines
  • Respond to customer enquiries and manage expectations professionally
  • Assist in adherence to quality control procedures
  • Contribute to WHS, environmental and risk management activities

About you

You are commercially minded, detail-focused and confident interpreting construction documentation. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with multiple teams to deliver accurate and timely outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Estimating experience within civil, construction or manufacturing
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications
  • Confident working with ERP systems (Pronto, JDE or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with data
  • Self-starter who works well independently and within a team
  • Clear communicator who can handle technical discussions and customer conversations
  • Someone who sees accuracy as a competitive advantage

Qualifications & requirements

  • Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening
  • Competent computer skills across Microsoft Office systems
