SENIOR HR BUSINESS PARTNER | VIC, SA & WA
Infrastructure Products Australia | A CRH Company
Competitive Salary + Super + Car Allowance + Phone and Laptop
Location: Work from Altona, Geelong, Carrum Downs, Pakenham or any of our sites cross VIC.
This isn't a "sit in head office and send policy emails" HR role.
This is boots on the ground, factory floor to boardroom, three states, 15+ sites. This role has a broad scope and you will be busy delivering on this massive opportunity.
If that excites you, keep reading.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to own the VIC, SA and WA region for Infrastructure Products Australia, part of CRH (Fortune 500, 26 countries, you've probably driven over our products today).
You are the person State Managers call when they've got an ER issue, the person the Branch Managers trust to help them build their teams. the person who walks onto a manufacturing site and earns respect because you know what you're doing, not because of your title.
You'll lead a team of five HR professionals, manage the full employee lifecycle across three states, run enterprise agreement bargaining, handle complex ER matters, coach leaders and drive people strategy that actually connects to operational outcomes.
This role reports to the HR Director and sits within a tight, supportive HR team that genuinely backs each other.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Large regional HR remit (VIC, SA, WA)
- A team of 5: three HR Advisors, a HR Coordinator and a HR Advisor covering SA/WA
- Workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, capability development and organisational design
- Employee relations across your region, from performance management to investigations to Fair Work Commission matters
- Enterprise agreement bargaining (strategy, negotiation, lodgement)
- Compliance across the Fair Work Act, NES, modern awards, EAs, Victorian OHS Act and psychosocial hazard regulations
NON-NEGOTIABLES
1. You can run concurrent ER matters, manage a team, oversee recruitment across 15 sites and deliver national project work at the same time. Time management isn't something you "work on." It's your superpower.
2. You are confident but humble. You hold your own in all environments and you can walk onto a manufacturing floor and people know you're there to help.
3. You are proactive. You don't sit at your desk waiting for the phone to ring. You're already across what's coming.
4. You know employment law. Not textbook. Applied, risk-calibrated, practical knowledge you use every single day. Fair Work Act, general protections, awards, EAs, redundancy, investigations.
5. You are a genuine business partner. You influence decisions. You challenge constructively. You earn trust through competence. You make leaders better at leading people.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Proven experience and tenure in a Senior HRBP, HR Manager or equivalent role across multi-site operations
- Practical knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES, modern awards, and employment law
- Experience managing complex ER, including investigations, terminations, redundancies and FWC proceedings
- Experience in EA bargaining (Preferred)
- Experience leading and developing a team of HR professionals
- Manufacturing, infrastructure or operationally complex multi-site experience (Preferred)
WHAT WE OFFER
- A supportive team both in HR and the Southern region.
- A empowered opportunity to make a lasting impact.
- A role with genuine complexity and variety.
- Part of CRH, a global leader in our industry
- Competitive salary + superannuation + car allowance + phone & laptop.
