We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our Altona team on a 6-month fixed term contract, with the potential for extension subject to business requirements.

About the Role
The Accounts Administrator will provide essential support across Transfab’s finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general finance administration activities. This role will suit someone who enjoys a hands-on finance environment, is highly organised, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and supporting business operations. This role is based onsite at our Altona, Melbourne facility and requires the successful candidate to work onsite five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Process customer invoices, payments, and account reconciliations
Manage accounts receivable activities, including debtor statements and account follow-ups
Process supplier invoices, payments, and supplier statement reconciliations
Complete bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
Support month-end financial processes and reporting activities
Assist with payroll data verification and resolving finance-related queries
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Support improvements to finance processes and systems
Provide timely support to internal stakeholders across finance and operations
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Officer, Finance Assistant, or similar role
Experience across accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration are desirable
Technical Skills
Experience using accounting systems or ERP systems
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Experience with SAP or similar systems is advantageous
Skills & Attributes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse data and prepare financial reports and spreadsheets.
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders
A proactive approach with a willingness to identify and improve processes
